Great success for Futura Foods at the 2011 World Cheese Awards, boasting 15 Awards this year - 2 Gold, 9 Silver & 4 Bronze Awards for our selection of Greek, Cypriot, Italian, Spanish & Danish Speciality cheeses. Awards were given for Sheep Milk Feta PDO, Sheep Milk Saganaki, Sheep & Goats Milk Feta PDO, Pecorino Sardo DOP, Aged Parmigiano Reggiano DOP, Mild Danish Blue, Organic & Traditional Halloumi, Kefalotyri Greek Hard Cheese, Smoked Feta Cheese, Gorgonzola Piccante DOP, Murcia Al Vino & the Fabulous Futura Organic Cream Cheese – available in pre-pack format in selected Waitrose Stores. Taking Silver Award for both Buffalo and Cow milk Mozzarella in brine and a Triple Bronze for the specialty Italian lines – 24 month Grana Padano Reserva D.O.P, Provolone Dolce and Aged Provolone Piccante D.O.P. 06 September 2011 - Phenomenal success for Futura Foods at the Nantwich International Cheese Awards 2011

11 awards in total, 5 Gold, 5 Silver and a Bronze!!! Futura demonstrated their interesting product portfolio and knowledge of quality cheese, with a Gold in both ‘The Best Greek Cheese’ and ‘The Best Scandinavian Cheese’ categories, with a PDO Greek Graviera and a Cave Ripened North Sea hard cheese. 07 July 2011 - Silver Award for Futura @ The Royal Highland Show 2011

07 June 2011 - A bright future for FUTURA

Following a successful 12 months trading with growth of 28%. Futura Foods, one of the UK’s largest importers of Speciality cheese have strengthened their team with the appointment of a new Managing Director with effect of 1st June 2011. Neil Burchell, known in the industry for previous successes with Rachel’s Dairy, will join Futura Foods UK as the new Managing Director. John Svensson, who founded the company in Tetbury, Gloucestershire 20 years ago, will be taking on a new role as Chairman. John Svensson commented ‘We have shown tremendous growth over the last few years and the whole team has done a great job in making Futura Foods a meaningful supplier to retailer, foodservice and industrial sectors in the UK. Our next stage is to focus on the development and support of a branded portfolio. I am proud to have attracted someone of Neil’s calibre to the business, and I look forward to him leading the way as we move forward to our new future.’ Neil Burchell said ‘I have known John and Futura Foods for a number of years and have long been an admirer of what they have achieved. 19 May 2009 - The World Cheese Awards Dublin 2008

Futura Foods scoop a double Gold at the world cheese awards held in Dublin 2008. The first of which was awarded to the outstanding Grana Padano Reserva PDO animal rennet, 24 month old cheese. The second Gold was awarded to the Spanish cheese Mahon. A PDO, cow's milk unpasteurised animal rennet product. 19 October 2009 - The World Cheese Awards Gran Canaria 2009

Futura Foods scoop a 5-medal haul at this years World Cheese Awards held in the Canary Islands. Building on the success of the 2008 awards held in Dublin. Futura Foods walk away with 2 Gold, 2 Silver and a Bronze from this years award ceremony. The 2 gold awards were given to Futura's Goats' Brie and Traditionally made Aged Mahon, while the 2 silver awards were for Aged Provolone and fresh Mozzarella balls made from fresh cow’s milk. Finally our Grana Padano aged Riserva finished off proceedings with the Bronze award. 25 August 2009 - Spanish Cheese Success at Nantwich International Cheese Show 2009

Futura Foods boast their outstanding Spanish Cheese range at Nantwich International Cheese Show, bringing home Silver, Bronze and Highly commended awards. Silver was awarded to Campoestrella Curado – an aged ewe’s milk cheese with a distinctive flavour, aroma and texture. Bronze was awarded to Futura's Manchego Curado, with a 12 month maturation period this cheese has a rich, intense flavour. Highly Commended was awarded to Futura's traditionally made Aged Mahon.
